About: The Blog and The Blogger

TOWER

The concept of this blog grew from the negative connotations of tower blocks. They are the looming brick skyscrapers which generally house working class and ethnic communities in London and other cities. It can be a depressing place to live, especially at the top, where you might feel imprisoned and contained (architecture affects your psyche). People have been shamed for coming from council housing, but I believe we should feel empowered.

To tower is to rise. This blog can be a tool of elevation for young Black British people specifically, but that should not make the content less universally relatable.

ABONDANCE

Before anything, I am a black woman. These aspects of my identity go hand in hand. All they tell you is that I am mature and history hasn't niced me lately, but I am still here. Primarily I am a writer. I aim to practice and better my main craft in this space I have carved for myself and people like me. All the while I will stay true to the core of my spirit, which is strong and wise and creative. The only place I'm heading is up. Come we go.
